Chocolate shoes: I have never seen a piece of chocolate quite like these beautiful pumps! These gourmet chocolate miniature shoes are available at Gayles's Chocolates and what a fantastic gift for the shoe lover. These shoes weigh 14 ounces and are seven inches long and six inches tall. Each one of these chocolate shoes is individually made, so no two are alike. I don't know very many women who don't like chocolate or shoes, so put together they are a winning combination! These high heeled chocolate shoes are available in dark, milk, white or pink chocolate. The price for each miniature shoe is $34.00 and they are packaged in a clear purse-shaped container!
Shoe cookies: I will get to the miniature shoes in a moment, but first things first . . . I'm going to get the edible treats out of the way. I think these little works of art should be preserved in some way and framed in a shadow box, but only after eating a few of these brightly decorated shoes. The colors can be customized for the icing and decorations on the shoes at no extra cost. Each cookie is individually wrapped in a clear bag tied with raffia. A personalized tag can be added for $1.00. These gorgeous cookie shoes are available at The Flour Pot and the cost is $4.75 each. You can go to their website for ordering information or call them toll free at 1-800-281-6068.
Miniature shoes trinket boxes: These are little treasures on their own, or you can put miniature treasures in them! They are very detailed trinket boxes made of resin in several different styles. One of the styles I like the best are miniature Parisian high heel shoes setting on a stack of books. The colors are muted blues and yellows. The miniature shoes shown on the box top are from the fashion era of 1912. Another trinket box shows miniature high heel shoes, a clutch purse and binocular setting on an upholstered stool. The colors are lilac green and dove gray with the shoes being from the 1902 fashion era. There are other styles of these fancy but affordable little boxes. The cost for each box is just under $20.00, but they were on sale when I saw them at All Dress Forms for about $15.00.
Miniature shoes: It appears that one of the most popular miniature shoes to collect is from Just the Right Shoe by Raines. These are tiny little ceramic "right-foot-only" shoes in many varieties.. The price depends on if the miniature shoes are still being made or the style has been "retired". Since these shoes are highly collectible, I did see them at several websites. The serious collector will be wanting specific shoes and that is when fun can be in the search to add to their collection. One website that had these little ceramic shoes is On Line Discount Mart. They were about $13.00 to $20.00, so I believe these would be considered new releases. This would be a good place for the beginning collector to start. The more difficult to find shoes are about $60.00, but like anything collectible the price usually depends on how much someone is willing to pay for that elusive little shoe.
Framed print: There are plenty of these to choose from, but the choice really depends on the shoe lover's decor. I found one I thought was so pretty at Modern Art Prints. The price starts at about $70.00 and depends on the size and frame style. The picture shown for display on their website is a 14.9" x 12.8" size. The price is just under $75.00 and includes the mat and frame. The print is a high quality lithographic paper print with fade resistant ink. It is titled "Steppin' Out III" by Penny Feder.
