keepsakes of the days gone by.
A collector of the new things to come,
in the sparkling gemstone eye.
A chest full of heart,
though it's been closed for so long.
A key held closely to open it up,
only to true love's song.
A collector of so much thought,
fragments of moments left behind.
A collector of wishes, hopes, and dreams,
yet only there in the mind.
A collector of tears falling in the rain,
a saddened vision of the past.
A collector of the sun rays, the stars in the night,
as time drifts by so fast.
A collector leaving it all here,
except for happy, the things that were true.
A collector letting go,
to start over new.
