Looking for a college close to home that won't cost an arm or leg to attend? Look no further than Southern WV Community and Technical College. Situated in four counties, Southern offers a variety of classes, which easily transfer to larger colleges and universities. Campuses are based in Boone, Logan, Mingo, and Wyoming counties. Classes are also held at Lincoln County High School Site in Hamlin, WV and at Erma C. Byrd Higher Education Center in Beaver, WV.

Financial Aid is available for almost everyone by offering scholarships, grants, loans and employment opportunities. The staff is ready to help find many sources to fund your tuition. At a price of $80.00 per credit hour for residents of West Virginia, tuition is affordable. Full-time tuition is only $960. For an added bonus, any credits over twelve hours are free.

Some courses do charge additional fees of $10 or $20, so please refer to the tuition and fees page of the syllabus.

Southern has transfer agreements with many colleges and universities such as WVU, Marshal University, Mountain State University, Fairmont State University, along with numerous others in state. Out of state agreements include Franklin University, Lindsey Wilson College, Midway College, Morehead State University, Pikeville College, University of Kentucky, and University of NC at Charlotte.

As a proud graduate of Southern, I had no problem finishing my BSN degree at an online college out of state. While attending Southern, my instructors spent time with me to ensure I had the knowledge necessary to succeed in my career goals. Even after graduation, the professors offered their time and expertise.

Southern WV Community and Technical College also boasts a comfortable dayroom, where you can relax with your friends between classes and even shoot some pool. There is a cafeteria on site, so you won't need to leave campus to eat. The library is spacious, and the bookstore is filled with souvenirs and memorabilia, right next to the necessary textbooks.

There is plenty of parking on campus with parking lots in front and in rear of the campus.
