When I talk to most people around my area, the subject of college always came up. When it came up most I realized that most people were not in their profession that they went to college for. They didn't drop out or anything they just were not able to find a job that required their expertise without having to move a couple hundred miles away from their family. So for someone that does not want to move away from family, but they still want to go to college to become something, what do you do?
Most of the children in our local schools would like to go to college to become specially trained in something. When it comes down to it and they pass everything and get out of school what is there for them to do. Most cases they will get an everyday job that takes no expertise or the lucky ones will start up their own business. When they don't want to open up a business they will end up being like majority. For instance my little brother went to collage to become a computer technician. He passed everything and got his certificate and still ended up in a factory.
When you are in a small town with not many expertise businesses around and you do not want to move away from that town, I would suggest just to not expecting to get a job with your college experience. If you are ready to commit most of your time to your job you could always open up your own business. Most who do, find out that it is quite rewarding, that is if they are successful.
