College Football Last Second Upset Special: Straight Up Dogs to Win

College football is always a tough prospect when looking for underdogs to win the game straight up. Finding three underdogs capable of winning on the money line is a daunting proposition but when they hit, the thrill is infectious.

This week there are three underdogs worthy of the three-way money-line parlay. The teams are spread throughout the conferences. A Big 12 representative, a Mountain West rep and one team from the ACC are the three teams to watch this weekend. Here are the three money-line underdogs to bet and tie together this weekend.

Air Force +130 Over Navy

The numbers are deceiving for this game. Air Force is 0-3 against the spread and Navy is 3-0 against the spread. At this point of the season the ATS numbers are not worth inclusion in the handicapping of college games. Most schools are playing inferior competition and the numbers are skewed.

Air Force and Navy use the same offense and both teams will play a solid defensive game in this one. Air Force is on the rise and Navy is trying to find themselves early in the season. The better offensive team will win this game, which gives the game to Air Force +130 straight up.

Kansas State +150 Over Baylor

Kansas State has not lost at home this year and they are 2-1 against the spread. Baylor has racked up the stats early in the season but now they face a formidable opponent on their home turf. Baylor will come back to reality in this game. Take Kansas State +150.

Clemson +235 Over Virginia Tech

Clemson is getting seven points in this game but they will not need them. This game will come down to the most athletic team and Clemson, with their sophomore quarterback Tajh Boyd fit the bill. Boyd and the Tigers are 3-1 against the spread and Virginia Tech is 1-3 against the spread. Despite it being early in the season, both teams have faced strong competition compared to other teams.

Clemson is passing for 315 yards per game compared to the Hokies who are passing for 218 yards. The game will come down to the Virginia Tech defense. They are stout against the run and if the Clemson Tigers can loosen up the tough Hokies run defense they will win easily. Take the Clemson Tigers +235.
