The Associated Press has released its AP Top 25 college football rankings for Week 7, and the Ohio State Buckeyes (6-0) are the nation's new No. 1 team. Previously No. 2, Ohio State defeated the Indiana Hoosiers by a score of 38-10 this weekend.

Joining Ohio State in the Top 10 are Oregon, Boise State, TCU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and South Carolina.

The previously unbeaten Alabama Crimson Tide, No. 1 in the AP Top 25 rankings all season, dropped to No. 8 after being upset by the South Carolina Gamecocks. The South Carolina Gamecocks (4-1), formerly No. 19, rose nine places to No. 10 in the AP rankings.

In a battle of unbeatens, Michigan State (6-0) bested Michigan (5-1) by a score of 34-17. As a result, Michigan State rose from No. 17 to No. 13 in the AP Top 25. Michigan, ranked No. 18 before the game, dropped out of the AP Top 25.

The Arizona Wildcats, also previously unbeaten, plummeted eight places from No. 9 to No. 17 after being defeated by Oregon State (3-2). Oregon State, unranked a week ago, now enter the AP Top 25 at No. 24.

The Florida Gators also plunged in the AP Top 25 poll after losing to undefeated LSU; the Gators dropped from No. 14 to No. 22. LSU (6-0) jumped three spots from No. 12 to No. 9.

Finally, the Florida State Seminoles (FSU) (5-1) surged seven places in the AP Top 25 rankings. Ranked No. 23 a week ago, FSU jumped to No. 16 after dominating in-state rival Miami (FL) by a score of 45-17. Miami (FL), previously ranked No. 13, dropped out of the AP Top 25 after Saturday night's drubbing.
