College Football Week 3 Games to Watch

Wordsleuth
Each week of College football is filled with great games to watch but the trick is knowing which ones are worth the time. The following games have conference standings implications and should just be plain old-fashioned great games. The Week 3 College Football Games to Watch are:

Southern Mississippi at East Carolina

While these may not be the biggest named teams in college football this will be a great game. Both Southern Miss and East Carolina are up and coming programs and this game will mean a lot to the Conference USA standings. Do yourself a favor and check this one out.

Game Line: Pick

Boston College at Georgia Tech

Boston College and Georgia Tech put a lot on the line when they face each other this weekend. This game is not only a great game between two Top-25 teams, but the game will really shape the title race in the ACC. BC and Georgia Tech have already been involved in big games this season, but this is the biggest so far for both teams.

Game Line: Georgia Tech -6.5

USC at Nebraska

USC goes into Lincoln on Saturday in one of the marquee games of the weekend. While USC goes into Nebraska as the number one team in the nation and as a decent favorite, don't count out the Cornhuskers in this one. This should be a hard fought game. Look for Nebraska quarterback Sam Keller to try to continue his good play against USC (he was the former Arizona State quarterback).

Game Line: USC -10.5

Notre Dame at Michigan

This may be the least important match up ever between Notre Dame and Michigan. While both teams are trying to find themselves and neither is in the national title picture, this should still be a fun game to watch. These teams will be fighting desperately to get back on track. If anything it will be like watching a trainwreck. No matter what this is one to watch.

Game Line: Michigan -8

Ohio State at Washington

Ohio State will be traveling to Washington on Saturday in a game that is not to be overlooked. The Buckeyes once again are in the rankings but Washington is looking to show they belong. Behind freshman quarterback Locker the Huskies have started the season off well but this will be their first major test. This should be a pretty close game and could be Washington's arrival back to national recognition.

Game Line: Ohio State -4

Arkansas at Alabama

The SEC is always jam packed with great games and this week is no exception. Last year's game between these two teams was an overtime thriller and this year could go the same way. Alabama introduces Nick Saban to the Arkansas/Alabama rivalry. This should be a great game.

Game Line: Alabama -7

Tennessee at Florida

As I said the SEC always deliver some great games. Tennessee and Florida will renew their rivalry on Saturday and these two teams usually put on a show. Tim Tebow and the new look Gators will try to defend their home turf against Eric Ainge and the Volunteers. This one has the makings of a great watch.

Game Line: Florida -7.5

Pittsburgh at Michigan State

Both Pittsburgh and Michigan State are trying to make themselves relevant again. This is a game that Michgan State should win but it could also be a down-to-the-wire affair. The winner could crack the Top-25 next week.

Game Line: Michigan State -10.5
