This is the broth I normally use to boil vegetables in. This broth can easily be heated and served as soup because it is flavored so well. There is a hint of carrot and celery flavor. The taste is great, and the flavor is not too strong or too salty. The broth actually compliments the food that it is prepared with. College Inn Garden vegetable broth is excellent for preparing vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, and kale.
Swanson vegetable broth

This broth is very unique because it is very sweet tasting. The sweet taste is very dominant and does not compliment or add much to vegetables. I found that this particular broth is good with rice and stir-fry's. It is especially good to use with stir fry's. Although the sweet taste in the broth is strong it is still delicious and not off putting.
When it comes to comparing the two broths neither wins over the other. They both have a flavorful taste. College Inn garden vegetable broth is best used with vegetables especially of the leafy variety. Swanson vegetable broth is best used in stuffing, soups, stir fry, rice, and potatoes. College Inn Garden vegetable broth has more calories, grams of fat, and carbohydrates than Swanson vegetable broth. Swanson vegetable broth has higher sodium content with 350 mg more than College Inn. Both broths taste great, just one brand is best with vegetables and the other brand is best with soups, stir-fry's and rice.
