Nobody wants to go into debt and you don't have to as long as you qualify for some of the different scholarships available. You can submit an application for FAFSA which is a federal program for those who want to earn a degree. If you qualify you will get the funds you need to pay for at least part of your college education.

There are plenty of scholarships for dads out there and those who want to go back to school to earn a degree will want to check out as many of them as possible. Recently the federal government has passed legislation making it easier for dads to go back to school in order to expand career opportunities. Of course, it's always important to apply for many types of general scholarships including Unusual Scholarships for College

If you do not qualify for a FAFSA grant, there are still other scholarship for dads programs. For instance, there are some ten thousand dollar contests on the internet that do not require an essay or specific grade point average to qualify. They would like you to review different school offerings on their site, but there is no obligation or application fee. In addition, there are military scholarships, local corporate scholarships for fathers and awards available from the tall club. Think about the organizations you've belonged to as well as your own family history as there may be grants from related organizations.

Now more than ever there are opportunities for dads who just aren't making enough at their current job to go to an accredit college or university to earn a degree. If you have the drive and motivation to do something more with your life and complete a two or four year program, you will be able to open the door to a number of career possibilities. Think hard about what school you want to go to, because many of them offer their own scholarships to students who demonstrate a financial need and excellent past academic performance. It is a bit of work to explore funding options, but it will reduce stress when you attend classes and make your college experience more relaxed.
