College, Sex & the Risks

Sex in college happens all the time; perhaps a little too often. You can go to a party and find someone who wants to have sex. You can go on campus and find someone who wants sex, too. The fact is, you can go anywhere around a college and find someone who is willing to have sex with you.

Does this mean you should go around your college having sex with everyone? Absolutely not! In college, sex can be a very dangerous thing. There are a lot of dirty people running around on a college campus. From AIDS to HPV and everything in between, it's out there, and if you have sex with anyone who is willing you will, without a doubt, catch something.

Take it from me kids, from one college student to another, college is a blast! And you don't need to go around sleeping with everyone to make the most of it. It just isn't worth it, and your college experience will be ruined if you get a really horrible disease and are spending the rest of your life in regret because you decided to go have sex with random college kids you've just met at a party. Trust me when I say this, from one college student to another; it will ruin you. I have seen perfectly good people go down the tube, failing out of college and whatnot, simply because of the stress caused by one stupid night of drunken sex.

This doesn't mean when you go to college you should be abstinent of sex. Who am I to tell you not to have sex with your college coeds? People tend to "forget" the words of those experienced (no, I am not speaking from literal experience only from observation of those around me at my college and from college and sex statistics). Just remember...there are many, many methods you can use to at least practice safe sex, if you are going to have sex at all.

If you're a sexually active person, the best method in my opinion, is to go meet someone who you think is a fantastic person, develop a relationship with them, get tested, then have all the great sex you want. It's a fool proof plan because you know the person, and you know that person is disease free and your college experience will be even more fulfilling with a significant other! Sharing the collegiate experience with a girlfriend or boyfriend will bring you much more gratification than having sex with random people.
