Like a lot of people these days, I recently started tanning this month (not for the first time) but for the first time at College Studio. They offer tanning as well a salon for hair.
You walk in and the place has a very pleasant smell despite all the tanning lotions, hair products and cleaners they use. They have a variety of music playing in the background and everyone seems very pleasant and friendly.
They have four regular tanning beds. One high powered ten minute bed, and they offer Mystic Tanning as well. Mystic Tanning is a spray tan that can last up to two weeks.
They keep the rooms very clean and have baskets for trash as well as for your towel when you are done. They even provide eye wear which is very rare for most places. Every place I've ever been to has made you provide your own so the fact that they provided it was very pleasant.
They offer lotions and also let you try some out before you buy if they have a tester for that certain product. Their prices on the lotions are the standard, a bit pricey for me but that's just the way I am. The qualities of the lotions are good, so if you can spare the money, I recommend using them.
They keep the rooms very cool with the air conditioner running and have fans in each room with multiple speeds and options which is another big plus.
Their prices are about the normal for this area. I got one month unlimited tanning in the regular beds for under forty dollars after taxes. You can go with the high powered ten minute bed for a little bit of a higher price. They have many packages to choose from or you can just pay each time you go in to tan. Mystic Tan is around fifteen dollars or you can include a session with your package for less.
They are well organized from what I can tell. I have yet to use the Salon only because I already go somewhere else and if there's one thing I hate more than having to change jobs, it would be having to change hair dressers! Most women can relate with me on that point.
I would give them a nine out of ten rating only because nobody is perfect and ten would be overrating on some standard. I very much highly recommend going here if you are looking for a great place to tan or get your hair done with reasonable prices and a great atmosphere.
