Herpes Virus
Two types of herpes virus, herpes simplex 1 and 2, cause infection in humans. Herpes 1 is generally recognized as fever blisters and/or cold sores on or in the mouth, lips and face. Herpes 2 is a sexually transmitted disease with few to no symptoms. When symptoms do occur they normally appear in the form of a blister on or around the genitals or rectum. Eventually the blisters break and leave tender sores that take two to four weeks to heal with the first occurrence. The first outbreak is normally the most severe and additional outbreaks usually occur a few weeks to months after the first. Over a period of years, outbreaks tend to decrease.
Colloidal Silver
According to the International Institute of Holistic Healing, colloidal silver is a catalyst that disables enzymes that microorganisms depend on. Colloidal silver is claimed to reduce inflammation and promote healing of injured tissue. According to Dr. Robert O Becker, MD, a correlation between low silver levels and silver has been recognized and deficiency is responsible for the immune system not properly functioning.
Using Colloidal Silver for Curing Herpes
Colloidal silver is claimed to be of benefit in healing herpes. It should not be used continuously. According to "Diagnose-Me," some doctors recommend that after using colloidal silver for an extended period, steps should be taken to remove the silver from the system. Colloidal silver should be in the 25 ppm (part per million) range and 25 drops administer under the tongue four times a day. Colloidal silver is non-irritating to the sensitive tissue and will act like a first-aid spray on cuts, sores, insect bites, burns and so on. The presence of colloidal silver near the herpes virus suffocates the pathogens and they die and are cleared out of the body by the lymphatic elimination, and immune systems.
Herpes Threat
Herpes simplex 1 has infected fifty to ninety percent of adults in the United States. Children infected with herpes simplex 1 normally have mild or no symptoms at all. Herpes infection is a contact disease and is spread person to person through direct contact (kissing, touching, and rubbing) with the sores or blisters, through sex, and from mother to baby during childbirth.
Colloidal Silver Controversy
There are many claims that prolonged use of colloidal silver can cause a condition called argyria, a condition which the skin turns the color of ashen-gray. Many claim that this is a result of using impure colloidal silver or taking excessive dosages. According to Stephen Barrett, M.D. single-cell germs cannot mutate into silver-resistant forms, as they can with conventional antibiotics. Colloidal silver also is safe and non-interfering with other medicines
