That is right, the show is going to the northern section of New Jersey. They are looking for outgoing, entertaining and eager homeowners to appear on the show. If you have a family room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom or living room that needs help, this might be your golden opportunity.
How do you get on the show? There are a few requirements that must be satisfied before you will qualify for an appearance on Color Splash with David Bromstad:
If you are chosen, you must be able to give them three full days for filming and you must be willing to be on camera. You must be comfortable on camera and you should be able to ad-lib conversation.
You must have ample work space for the carpenter and you must clear the space for the makeover. If something needs to be removed, take care of it before the team arrives. You must also get rid of any leftover garbage after the job is done.
You must also have a room that is at least 18X18 that needs to be re-vamped and you must be able to spend at least $6000 of your own money.
HGTV lists the contact email as casting@joklt.com and asks that you send the following information:
Your name
Your address
Place of employment
Pictures of you the homeowner
Pictures of the outside of your house, front and back yard please
Explain to them how great you would be in front of the camera and on television and why they would want to choose you.
Send a photo of the room you want made over along with all of the measurements.
Explain to them what your inspiration is. Is there a particular style you are interested in? Is there something in particular that you have seen somewhere that you would love to see in your home? Include a picture of your idea and keep in mind that an original idea will grab their attention. If you are chosen to participate, please tell him that Beth Inman sent you...and needs a makeover!
