Colorado: 3 Great Places to Visit!
If You're Going to Colorado or You Might in the Future, Read This!
Why these?
Colorado is home to many great and popular natural attraction sites. It's also the Home of the Rocky Mountains, Colorado contains many high winding mountain roads, lots and lots of beautiful wildlife, and views that will put you in amazed awe.
Estes Park is located 54 miles North-West of Denver and lies right by Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park is filled with deep canyons, grassy rivers and meadows, rivers, wildlife, and breathtaking views and heights. Estes Park has specialty stores and unique restaurants too (I LOVE Rock Mountain Oysters!) and for the kids and adults, they have candy and good sweets! Specialty stores have all kinds of souvenirs and collectibles.
Rocky Mountain National Park is 7522 ft. above sea level and has peaks that range from 6000ft to 14200ft!
Estes Park also has the famous Stanley Hotel! The historical hotel that Stephen King stayed in, he was there when he was inspired to write "The Shinning". The hotel is said to be haunted by ghosts. They also give ghost tours (if you're brave enough). Call early and get either room 217 (the room Stephen King stayed in) or room 418 (the room that is said to be haunted)!
The Royal Gorge is also another GREAT place to go! It is just 45 mins. South-West of Co. Springs in Canyon City. There you will find the Royal Gorge Bridge which is also said to be one of the worlds tallest suspension bridges. It's at the top of the bridge and looking down 1000ft to the river below is a breathtaking view.
If you love flying you can take a "Jet powered helicopter" that will take you down into the gorge. In addition there is a downtown area with shops, restaurants, and gelleries.
I hope this article helps you have a good vacation!
