No matter if your thrill is white water rafting on the Royal Gorge or fly fishing in Browns Canyon on the Arkansas River Noah's Ark has a program for you. You can push your limits rappelling at one of their rock climbing sites or relax in a canoe while drifting down the Gunnison River and viewing the mysterious canyons above.
White water rafting adventures really begins on the Arkansas River, which is the most popular white water rafting destination in the state. Noah's Ark offers runs ranging from beginners to advanced rafters. The Arkansas River goes 30 miles into the shadows of Browns Canyon and the Royal Gorge delivers one of the most exciting rafting experiences in the United States.
If you have ever hiked, backpacked or camped in the Colorado Rocky Mountains it is something you will never forget. Noah's Ark operates hiking and backpacking trips in the popular Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area where eight of the tallest peaks in the lower 48 states are located. There are green mountain valleys, clear streams and over 105 miles of hiking trails to experience there.
Buffalo Parks Wilderness Area also is another area Noah's Ark uses for hiking. It is a great scenic area of Colorado. It got its name from two high-domed peaks that resemble buffalo humps they can be seen from miles around.
Rock climbing adventures begins in the shadows of the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area. Movie-like scenery and the adrenaline rush as you descend the rock face are thrilling. Noah's Ark maintains high standards of safety and excellence employing only the best trained climbing instructors to assist guests. There are programs for all levels of climbers. Full and half-day rock climbing trips are available every day in the Buena Vista area for groups of all sizes and climbing skills.
Canoe trips through the winding scenic Colorado Western Slope are available. The lower area of the Gunnison River offers a slow pace for three-day family trips. The canoeing program at Noah's Ark was developed to give both families and groups an interactive adventure when you experience guiding your canoe down the river and camping at riverside.
