Colorado B&B's: Black Forest Bed and Breakfast in Colorado Springs

In the highest point east of the Rocky Mountains sits the Black Forest Bed and Breakfast Inn. Surrounded by enormous Ponderosa pines, golden aspens and a panoramic view of the mountains sit this secluded inn. Even with its seclusion, it is only 15 - 30 minutes from most tourist attractions in the Pikes Peak region.

The massive log home provides a rustic romantic retreat. You will wake up with a breakfast tray of homemade hot muffins and fresh fruit at your door. Breakfast can be enjoyed in bed or out on the terrace.

Each room has stocked kitchen or kitchenettes. There also are televisions with DVD players and stocked DVD's in each room. The Black Forest Bed and Breakfast takes great effort in making its inn a home away from home for its guests.

If your are looking for a place to have a family reunion they have you covered. There are guesthouses that sleep up to 12. The houses have full kitchens and laundry rooms. Porta cribs and high chairs are available. The kids will also have a great time in the fenced in yard and deluxe playground.

Other accommodations include The Barn. It sleeps up to 10 people. It can be booked in its entirety or as separate suites the Loft and the Ark. The Loft is the second story of the Barn, which has been converted into a two-bedroom apartment. It can accommodate six guests. The view from the front window of the loft is the lights of Colorado Springs and the front range of the Rockies.

The Ark is the main level of the Barn. The name comes from the décor, which is a Noah's Ark theme. It comes with a full kitchen. There is a corner fireplace for romantic evenings and a private deck with an outdoor dining area. The bath has a whirlpool tub, separate shower, and two vanities. The Ark is also wheelchair accessible.

The newest addition to the Black Forest Bed and Breakfast is the Chalet. It can sleep up to 12 guests. There are two queen bedrooms and baths downstairs. There is also a full bedroom and sleeping loft upstairs. A full kitchen and free laundry are included. This A-frame guesthouse is great for a large family, small reunion, or group of friends.

The newly remodeled Lodge now has a dance floor and a baby grand piano. The view through the many large windows includes the Rocky Mountains and the city lights of Colorado Springs. The Lodge is great for weddings, reunions, or even small business conferences.

The Black Forest Bed and Breakfast also has a Wedding Lodge available for intimate indoor or winter weddings. It includes a gazebo to hold ceremonies on with a backdrop of Pikes Peak and many tall pines. A large wedding meadow and new 1,000 sq ft log pavilion is available for receptions. A spacious atrium guesthouse for smaller in-door receptions.
