The guest ranch is a great place for family members of all ages. There are plenty of age related activities for everyone. There is horseback riding, swimming in Coulter Lake, horseshoes, and volleyball to name a few.
Accommodations at Coulter Lake are intimate and rustic. Surrounding the lodge there are six cabins scattered among the aspen trees. All the cabins are in easy walking distance to the lodge. Two of the cabins are right on the lake. Four larger cabins are great for large families or reunions. These cabins can accommodate from four to ten people. All the cabins have a porch or deck you can sit on and enjoy the scenic surroundings.
Dining at Coulter Lake Guest Ranch is where everyone enjoys a home cooked meal. A sample of the meals served is barbecue beef, chicken, pasta, fresh trout, and steaks to name a few. All meals are tailored to appeal to kids as well as adults. All meals are always all you can eat. If you have special dietary needs you can contact the staff before arrival and it can be accommodated.
Activities at Coulter Lake Ranch include horseback riding to name one. There are scenic rides for beginners to the most advanced rider. If you are into hiking, you can go straight from your cabin and hike the many surrounding trails. Rifle Mountain Park has a great canyon trail that goes along Rifle Creek. Fishing is available at Coulter Lake, which is spring fed and full of rainbow trout. You can use small boats provided to go out onto the lake are fish right from the bank.
There are many other activities available at the ranch and the surrounding area. The peaceful and relaxing surroundings may though make you just want to lounge around your entire stay. Therefore, whether you are into adventure and extreme activities or just relaxing on the deck and breathing in the fresh air Coulter Lake Guest Ranch is a great place for you.
