Originally the area around the Williams Peak Ranch was settled by Ute Indians who sought therapeutic relief at the nearby hot springs. Located deep in the Rocky Mountains the Williams Peak Ranch covers 7,500 acres at the bottom of the 11,561-foot Williams Peak.

Nature will surround you whether you are climbing to the summit of a peak or trout fishing at the ranch. The staff at Williams Peak ranch is expert guides and will customize activities to make it an adventure to remember.

The Dahle Guest Lodge is a western-décor retreat that is named after the original Norwegian homesteaders who settled the ranch in 1911. It has a large wrap-around porch, which enables you to view the mountain scenery. Lake Dahle is only a few feet away also.

The lodge amenities include five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It will accommodate up to twelve guests. The wrap around porch also has log furniture and a grill. Also there is an eight-person hot tub.

If you happen to into riding ATV's there are great forest trails that go across creeks and up winding hills. If you are a beginner there are expert guides that will help you get started. . An adult must accompany children under sixteen.

For those that have always dreamed about being a cowboy or cowgirl you might want to try out the cattle drive. Sit tall in the saddle on your quarter horse rounding up cattle. At the right time of the year there are also over night cattle drives.

Cattle drives are not the only place to enjoy horseback riding. You can also saddle up and explore the mountain trails and rolling hills. If horseback riding is new to you there are expert instructors that can teach you in Williams Peak Ranch's 30,000 square foot heated arena.

The many trails around the ranch also make for excellent hiking. There is a 5-hour trek with a 3,000-foot vertical gain to the summit Williams Peak at 11,561 feet. At the top gives you a panoramic view of the Gorge range and Continental Divide.

    This ranch would do better if it would pay for items it has bought, I wouldnt trust my family to be safe here, the ranch might just have decided not to keep up on all its obligations. You never know what a cheap ranch might decide is or isnt important. There are much better places with a better reputation for being honest and trustworthy.
