You might want to make sure you call for reservations first. Buffalo Creek Ranch keeps its guest capacity low to insure maximal fun for each guest as they have the individual attention of the staff. One couple can book the entire ranch during certain seasons or they take up to six in a group.
Accommodations at Buffalo Creek Ranch include the recently built three-story lodge. It includes six spacious bedrooms. There is a selection of queen beds or side-by-side twin beds. Each level has its own bathroom. Meals are served family style overlooking the large deck that allows a great view of Buffalo Ridge. While lounging in the six-person hot tub, you have an excellent view of Timothy Ridge and North Park's Zirkle Mountain range.
The lodge's fully stocked kitchen is always open for the midnight snacker. You will always find prepared snacks and drinks there. Along with the hearty meals served at the ranch, the staff can always accommodate your dietary restrictions or special diets if notified before arrival.
If you enjoy fly-fishing you will love the over fifteen miles of private streams. The ranch also has five private lakes where Rocky Mountain trout can be caught. Also at the ranch is a 45-acre lake in the middle of their private valley. You can fish from the shore or take a boat to the middle of the lake and float while you fish.
You can also take in the beauty of the ranch and mountains by horseback. You can ride one of the ranch's horses or you can bring your own. Wranglers at the ranch are always available to assist on trail rides or help the beginner rider. If you want the experience of being, a real cowboy you are encouraged to assist in cattle drives, doctoring cattle and even branding cattle.
Big game hunting on the twelve thousand private acres is excellent. Large resident elk herds can be found in the valleys below the Continental Divide and the Buffalo Ridge. Hunts are fully guided by seasonal professionals with years of experience. The ranches top three guides have a combined 75 years of elk hunting experience.
