Colorado Ski Lodges and Resorts: Foothills Lodge and Cabins in South Fork, Colorado
Lodging at Foothills Lodge and Cabins consists of lodge style cabins and stand-alone log cabins. All cabins have wifi, telephone with free long distance as long as calls are inside the United States. The two bedroom stand-alone cabins have fireplaces for those cold mountain evenings.
All the cabins are in walking distance to ski and sports related rental shops. Fully equipped kitchens are also included in every cabin. There are multiple picnic areas many with charcoal or gas grills depending on your grilling preference.
In the centrally located redwood gazebo is where you will find the hot tub / spa. The lodge office provides large towels for use at the hot tub / spa. So, after a hard day on the slopes you can sit in the warm water and soak those soar muscles.
The Foothills Lodge and Cabins is a pet friendly environment. There are designated cabins for those bringing their pet along on vacation. Most pet friendly cabins have hard wood floors making for easy cleaning.
The lodge style cabins are located in a building with three or four other lodge style cabins. The log cabins are stand-alone accommodations. The lodge style cabins all have private entrances, living area, dining area, and of course fully equipped kitchens. The lodge style cabins can accommodate one to eight guests depending on bedding arrangements.
The log cabins at Foothills Lodge and Cabins have all been recently renovated. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen as the lodge style cabins do. They also have telephone, data port, voice mail, and wifi. Daily housekeeping takes out trash and replaces towels and linens. All the two bedroom cabins have cozy fireplaces. The master bedrooms have either a king size or queen size bed. The second bedroom has either two double beds or one double bed and a single bed.
The Wolf Creek Ski area is located about 17 miles from Foothills Lodge and Cabins. The side of the mountain that Foothills is located on is more readily accessible to the ski area and has fewer closures due to unscheduled road clearings and weather conditions. A ski school for children and ski equipment rental are also located at Wolf Creek.
There are also many areas to cross-country ski or ride snowmobiles. You can ride a snowmobile provided by the guided tour or bring your own and blaze your own trail. Sleigh rides where you can wrap up in a warm blanket with that special someone and enjoy the mountain scenery are a favorite by all.

Post a Commentthis may seem like a trivial attribute that stuck out to me, but personally i find the large hot tub towels a great amenity. most of these places give you things the size of washcloths to try and warm your body up after getting out of the warm water into the freezing cold, not to mention the challenge they present in keeping yourself appropriately covered.
