I have heard that Monarch Mtn. is a great place to ski, etc. However, I have a little problem with their presentation of their cancellation policy. I do not recall ever receiving a copy of their rules and regulations by mail or email. Especially their cancellation policy. I lost $171.00 to Monarch Mtn. Ski Resort when I cancelled
our reservation for 12/27/08 less than 48 hours before our reserved time. I was never informed of the 48 hour notice (to cancel reservations). Nor was I offered a partial refund. What really gripes me is the fact that my family and I found out around 8:30 AM (Mtn Time)on Christmas 2008 that a severe snowstorm was going to hit that area on 12/26/08 and that it would be very unlikely that we could even get there by driving on the Highway from Salida to the ski resort. What did they expect? That we arrive by way of helicopter? I think that the way this whole matter was handled by Monarch ski resort was very unfair and shows apparent GREED!
