Seven Falls cascades 181 feet falling in seven distinct ledges down a solid cliff of pikes peak granite. The water of the Falls is crystal clear which makes the Christmas light display clearly visible. Located next to the Falls is a 224-step stairway that leads to a system of trails that will take you to "Midnight Falls" and then onto Inspiration Point.
Inspiration Point gives you a panoramic view of Colorado Springs. Many of the holiday lights of the city can be seen here at night. If you find yourself wanting a different view of the Falls try taking a mountain elevator that goes up 14 stories through solid granite and takes you to the "Eagles Platform" you can see another great view of Seven Falls. No matter what area you select to observe the Falls holiday illumination it is very impressive.
The Christmas light display at Seven Falls began at the opening of the area to the public in 1948.Many things have changed since that time. During the holiday season a life sized Santa, sleigh and reindeer appears atop the Seven Falls Curio Shop and Christmas lights are displayed all through the area. The Curio Shop offers a wide variety of souvenirs to purchase to bring back from your visit.
Holiday lighting starts on November 24 -26and then December 1-2, 8-9, opening at 9am to 9:30 pm daily. Special holiday rates are $6.50 for adults and $4.00 for children 6-15.
It is a great place to go during the holiday season for the entire family with marvelous photo opportunities for a lasting memory.
