Colorful Skyline at Night

The night lights are a show
For those who go out much.
The lights of a nearby city,
Where all those people are so busy,
Catch your eye to lend to them.

Colors dance off the silhouettes
Back into the ice cold water below.
Cars race back and forth adding to
This colorful show.

Vivid and bright, even far away.
It did not look this great
Earlier today.

So many people worked so hard
To bring this show for all to see.
The labored and slept just like all of us.
Still, the show goes on without a fee.

Taking in the wonderful view,
My camera convinces me it's worth the wait.
There is one last thing I must do
Before I leave for home.
This one picture I need to take.
