Colors

A Poem About Colors and People

Peter Flom

I am purple the royal shade
Of the stuff of stars I'm made.

Or red, the rage I've felt
Complaining of the cards I'm dealt.

Yellow, I am yellow too
And afraid of all that's new.

Green with envy I have been
A color for this cardinal sin

Sometimes I have been so blue
There was nothing I could do

Rainbow, patchwork quilted plaid I can
Say, like you, I am a man

Interesting, putting colors to emotions. Today I feel red, white and blue.

We all show our colors now and then.

Very nice Peter. Hard to always figure what color one is at any given time.
