The Columbus area has appeal for enthusiasts of both city and country living and city or country type recreation. Recreation opportunities are abundant. Columbus Ohio is well centrally located and can appeal to a variety of tastes and entertainment desires. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is something the whole family can enjoy. The Columbus Museum of Art was founded in 1878. Nearby Hocking Hills offers everything from primitive camping to deluxe spa trips.
The city of Columbus itself has an abundance of dining, theater and shopping. German Village is a very popular attraction with its own unique style of shopping and dining. For the sports fan, baseball, basketball and football are quite popular and of course Columbus is home to the Ohio State Buckeye's.
For employment the Columbus area still has a reasonably strong employment market. Technology, medical, construction, sales and assembly jobs are listed in the hundreds. The Columbus area public schools are fairly well ranked. There are also many colleges in the area including Columbus State Community College and Ohio State University.
The weather in the Columbus area is average Mid-Western. All four seasons can be enjoyed without extremes of snow or heat. At the same time if you are a snow enthusiast skiing and other related activities are not far away. Being in the Columbus area also provides close access to Port Columbus International Airport for business or personal travel

Post a CommentHmm....the comment about Columbus Public Schools needed a meter reading...it is not quite accurate to say that the schools are ranked well. Yes, the teachers are paid well, but academically? Do your own research on the school evaluations and who needs improvement.
