The Columbus Zoo Wildlights
For over 17 years now The Columbus Zoo Wildlights has been a holiday tradition in Columbus. The Zoo has over two-hundred light displays with more than two-million lights. Walking through the Zoo and seeing the beautiful light displays is an amazing holiday experience. The lights are ready and open to the public from November 22nd through January 1st. Hours of operation for Wildlights is 5p.m-9p.m, Sunday through Thursday and on Fridays and Saturdays from 5p.m to 10p.m.
Not only does the zoo offer the amazing holiday light display, you can also do much more while at the zoo. Stop and see the animals, skate on The Enchanted Ice Rink, visit with Santa and get your picture taken with Santa and elves, decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus, ride in a horse drawn wagon and much more. Holiday Lights at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
The Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus, Ohio, transforms the gardens into a winter wonderland has the holiday lights display go up. From the end of November through the first week of January, visitors walk through the conservatory and enjoy the beauty of the holiday season. Twinkling lights guide visitors through the breathtaking beauty of Mother Nature, such as a 15 foot poinsettia tree and birch allee. A major part of the holiday season is driving down streets and looking at the beautifully decorated homes. Anyone looking for Holiday light displays in Columbus Ohio must take a ride through the Southeast side of Columbus in Pickerington, Ohio at Hail Ridge Drive. There are 15 houses that are part of a computer controlled, animated musical holiday light display. Drivers must tune their radio stations to 93.9 FM to enjoy the full experience. The holiday light display runs from 5p.m - Midnight, 7 days a week thru New Year's. Each house is decorated with synchronized lights that beat to the music playing on your radio. When in Columbus looking for Holiday lights displays, a trip to 4789 Nieles Edge Dr in Columbus, Ohio is a must. This guy has gone all out to decorate his home. He has created a 288 channel orchestrated holiday light display. The holiday light display begins on Thanksgiving. The light show runs from 5:30 - 10 pm, Sunday through Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. You must tune your radios to 107.7 FM to enjoy the music that beats to the lights. The songs you will hear are, Carol of the Bells, Jingle Bells, Joy to the World, Deck the Halls, Silent Night and the Peanuts Theme Song.
