The Feast of St. Patrick is celebrated each year by the Shamrock Club with a procession to mass, mass, parade, and the annual Irish Family Reunion on March 17, 2007. The procession will form beginning at 9 AM on Rich St. in front of the City Center parking garage. The procession will step off at 9:30 AM and go east on Rich St. to Holy Cross Church.mass will be celebrated at 10 AM. The parade will form immediately after mass. Upon leaving Church, please follow the directions of the Parade Marshals. The parade will begin at 11:45 AM and proceed east on Rich St. to Grant Ave., north on Grant to Broad St. It will continue west on Broad to Veteran's Memorial where it will disband at approximately 1 PM.

Skully's Music Diner is hosting a St. Patrick's Day Bash with the band The Loyal Divide on March 17th from 9 PM to 11:55 PM. Before the Bash, don't miss Skully's $1 Happy Hour from 4 to 9 PM which is each Monday through Saturday and includes dollar domestic beers and dollar drinks. Skully's is located at 1151 N. High St.

With a name like Fado Irish Pub, you have to have a St. Patrick's Day Party. On March 16th and 17th, celebrate St. Patrick's Day in authentic Irish style with live music and festive beverages at Fado Irish Pub. Call 614-418-0066 for more information.

Dublin Events

Visit Dublin, central Ohio's Irish community, for a St. Patrick's Day filled with musical acts, community events and plenty of good food and drink. The festivities begin with the St. Patrick's Day 5K Run which is set to step off the curb at Metro Place North at 10:45 AM. The St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at Metro Center at 11 AM.

In the Blarney Bash Tent, there will be a $5 cover charge for guests 18 years of age and older who enter after 4 PM Guests arriving before 4 PM are admitted free. At noon is the Yankee Celtic Consort. Following at 2 PM, the Central Ohio Safety Forces Pipes and Drum. There's non-stop entertainment all day including Irish dance and music. The big event, though, starts at 9 PM. The Prodigals, the popular band with a sound that combines brilliant original lyrics and melody with a genuine passion for the traditional music of Ireland, entertains with their own brand of funky energy.

More entertainment will be held at the Metro Club Bar & Grille in the Crowne Plaza Hotel including music by Brigid's Cross at 10:45. Worked up an appetite with all the singing and dancing? Irish and American food specialties will be offered in the Blarney tent and also inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

There's entertainment for the whole family so of course you can't forget the wee folk on this festive day. At noon, Marian Funk will have fun songs and jigs. At 1, Michael O'Malley will tell stories. Following Michael, Ceili McDaniel will also tell stories and provide some entertaining song. Then at 3 PM, don't miss the Irish contests for reddest hair, greenest eyes, most freckles, and best Irish outfit. At 4 PM, dancers will perform. Also, in the Hotel Ballroom, more children activities include Blarney Bingo from noon to 6 PM. It's free to play and prizes will be provided. There will also be various craft activities for the children to take part in. Wristbands can be purchased for $3 which are valid for all crafts or $1 tickets are available for each craft.
