Combat Arms Gets a Major Update

Seth Luke
The popular first-person shooter Combat Arms just had a major update. Listed below are most of the changes that this update included.

Let's get the small things out of the way first. There is new music on the login page and in the lobby. There is also a new opening movie right before the login page.

There is a couple new NX items, such as a cowboy hat and a "Black HiSec Key" (more on the HiSec key later), and the "Dragon V Sniper Rifle" can now be purchased at First Sergeant. There are a couple new weapons such as an "AK 102" and a couple more, but I won't really go into detail as you get the point.

First big change, a lot of the NX items can now be bought in the GP store, which is a plus, but they just cost a lot of GP and you have to be a really high rank (gold bar). You can find these GP NX items in the "other" tab of the GP store.

There are no new maps, but overdose can now be played on "Elimination mode" and "One man Army". If you're wondering about the safe room, you can open it at the start of the game but you can not lock it. You can also play the newish zombie mode on warhead.

Now for the two biggest things in the update. A new mode called "Elimination Pro" and HiSec cases. We'll start with the new mode.

"Elimination Pro" is the same as the mode "Elimination" but you don't spawn after you die for the whole round. It is 11 rounds per game, so you do get to play a lot. You can also play this mode in the new overdose map.

Finally, let's talk about HiSec cases. HiSec cases randomly appear in any game mode on the ground. There are two types, grey and black. Grey ones you can open with a key for 1900 GP. The black ones only open with a key for 900 NX. They can contain a number of different things; over 44 different items to be exact.

Oh, I almost forgot. The patch DOES NOT get rid of the hackers. There are still a ton of them. But Nexon is getting better at detecting and banning them.

As you can probably already tell, this update is amazing. Have fun shooting!
