Combating Obesity: A Way to Smartness

Aiman
Obesity problems are increasing worldwide, and are threatening mostly the developed countries. Obesity is the result of increased body weight by excessive accumulation of fat. Obesity increases the risk of death-resulting diseases like, coronary heart disease, diabetes, heart disorders, kidney problems, hypertension and cancer.

Most people cannot overcome their weight problems, since this problem not only requires a lot of self-control, but demands strong will power and determination. A few useful tips are listed below to help you fight obesity.

Regular exercise is the most safest and effective way of reducing weight. Exercise can be a form of yoga, which will provide you the increased benefit of relaxation and relief from stress. Starting up with an aerobics program or joining a sports club will give you entertainment as well as exercise.

One important factor in controlling weight is overcoming restlessness and acquiring patience. Most of the overweight people who start exercising either get fed up with the tough routine and give up or, worse, their mind can never accept the fact that they can lose extra weight if they take the trouble. Redirecting your mind and will to the road of smartness takes a lot of effort, and requires from you a show of strength.

Another important factor is good diet. Your diet should be nutritious and should have more energy value rather than more calories. Most people avoid breakfast and take a skimpy lunch and then stuff themselves at supper. This might increase the body mass instead of reducing it. Planning a balanced diet and sticking to it will aid you in losing weight. Including leafy vegetables and salads in your diet also helps a lot.

Consumption of honey also helps in reducing weight. Take 2 tsp of honey with a glass of water or herbal tea. This helps to dissolve body fat.

Sleeping routines also determine your body weight. A study showed that people getting four hours of sleep at night were more at a risk of getting obese than those getting seven to nine hours of sleep. Even one hour of sleep can make a whole lot of difference.

Make superior use of opportunities. For example, if you are riding a bus, get out one stop early and walk home rest of the way. Instead of using the lift, climb up the stairs. Walking short distances instead of driving around in a car. This way you will lose weight quickly.

The major need here is to have self motivation and setting your own goals. No other person except yourself is responsible for your own health problems, which is why you yourself need to take a step towards bettering your physical fitness and laying down steps for a better future.
