Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place,
and rest a while...." Mark 6:31
Come Apart Awhile
I come apart for a while from the cares of my day;
I come to the riverbank to listen and pray.
It is here in the quiet where I hear my Lord say,
"I am your strength and your sufficiency this day."
Though our nation is at war, with troubles everywhere,
Nothing can come near me when I am lost in prayer;
For here in the solitude, as I commune with my Lord,
He speaks peace to me through His Living Word.

which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds
through Jesus Christ."
