Come and Go

I walk through life
Full of pain and scars
Each time my eyes close
My demons aren't far

Darkness really isn't so bad
A comfort all its own
Darkness is all you'll have
When your angels have all flown

I never needed anyone
I was just fine on my own
I never needed anyone
I was doing great all alone

But then along came you
Sneaking in without a sound
I saw you through the darkness
My heart began to pound

My heart is so full of hate
This head is so full of anger
The fire you lit inside of me
Was warning me of the danger

Opening up to you
I knew I shouldn't do
And in doing so anyways
I now have scars of new

My lesson learned a final time
No more mistakes I'll make
Should you see things differently
