Come on Over to American Idol Shania

It doesn't matter if you are man or woman Shania appeals to both genders equally. American Idol should have a record week with the Canadian country beauty, Shania Twain. The contestants will get a good taste of what it takes to become a recording artist legend when they take on Shania's songbook and her as mentor.

What makes Shania Twain so Special?

For starters she is all woman. Shania is beautiful in a wholesome sort of way with a knock your socks off looks. If you see her albums or photos you will realize thats she can make any garment look better. But more then looks Shania is a top talent who has set records for most albums sold by a woman of all time and concerts that make Garth Brooks look tame and pale in comparison.

Shania is also a top notch songwriter and writes a lot of her own songs. Man, I Feel Like a Woman was a mixture of jazz, country and pop and was a huge success from day one.

Now 65 million records sold later she is the number two Canadian female recording artist behind Celine Dion. A commercial success Shania has 5 grammys and 27 BMI recording artist awards and is in demand where ever she goes. With 3 records certified as Double Diamond by RIAA she is definitely a great mentor for up and coming artist and the finalist should be thrilled by her participation.

How will the American Idol Contestants do with Shania Twain's Songbook?

I can see Siobhan Magnus singing Man of Mine as well the Idol front-runner Crystal Bowersox doing well with You're Still The One. I can also see Lee Dewyze singing She's Not Just a Pretty Face or Big Michael Lynche doing Forever and For Always, but Casey James will struggle again this week and Aaron Kelly will finally be eliminated.

It will be an interesting night but as Shania once said, 'For me its all about the music, music is when I feel my best spiritually, emotionally and physically." No doubt that is exactly what comes across when this wonderful lady sings.
