The camp is conveniently located just between Hixton, WI, and Alma Center, WI. Only 3.5 miles from Interstate 94, this KOA is very easy to travel too. It is about 40 miles southwest from Eau Claire, WI, and 135 miles northeast from Madison, WI. Located in the southwest corner of Wisconsin, you will find rolling hills and beautiful scenery every where you turn.
The price of camping at the Hixton KOA is comparable to many campgrounds that offer the same amenities. The cost of a Kamping Kabin ranges from $48.00 to $68.00 a night and are a great accommodation! The cabins are very clean, and have nice beds, windows, desks, air conditioning and even a porch swing! If you are not fond of tenting, but love the idea of camping, a Kamping Kabin is for you! Tent sites average about $35.00 per night with full electric hook-ups. The tent sites have a picnic table and a fire ring for your convenience. RV sites average about $40.00 a night depending on the size of your camper and the hook-ups you desire. Children 3 and under are free, and extra adults and children are a small fee per day.
The amenities at the KOA in Hixton are fabulous! The campground preserves the natural state of the land, while offering many fun activities at the same time. The campground has a very peaceful and quiet atmosphere, which will allow the natural surroundings to be enjoyed to the fullest! There are ample flower beds to enjoy as you browse through camp that are all tediously cared for. There is a large playing field where you can play croquet, bocce ball, badminton, and any other favorite yard game. The pool is completely fenced in and is a nice size for fun splashing around and playing your favorite pool games. There is a great playground for the little kids to climb and swing at. The campground office building has a sink to do dishes, laundry facilities and even a few arcade games. The bathhouse is very clean and conveniently located. There is a large banquet facility that you can use for group meals. Every weekend, the campground offers ice cream and hay rides that are tractor pulled throughout the campground. The staff goes an extra step to make sure your stay is comfortable!
KOA's are one of America's best kept secrets! They offer a full camping experience while maintaining natural surroundings and offering the accommodations at a low price! If you love camping, and are looking for a campground in central to southwest Wisconsin, the Hixton KOA is the place for you!!!
