For what Marc Bulger had to endure during the last 3 years while playing for the St. Louis Rams was something no professional quarterback should endure. Marc Bulger took a beating that placed a burden and a toll on his physical ability to perform at his peak playing ability - which led to a dramatic decline in his overall QB numbers and overall QB rating. A quarterback can only perform at his peak if he is given at least six seconds to complete his passes, and this was something that Marc Bulger did not have the luxury of being able to do, due to an atrocious offensive line.

Marc Bulger will be the second string QB for Ravens in 2010, but even though he will be the backup QB, Ravens fans can rest assured that he will be ready to step in if anything happens to starting QB Joe Flacco.

Marc Bulger is a proven winner, and he has the tools and skills to guide the Ravens in the right direction in case he has to take over the helm as the starting QB in 2010.

The Raven organization particularly knew that the hope of their playoff season depend on Joe Flacco, and indeed it was a great idea to have Marc Bulger as a backup insurance policy just in case Flacco falls prey to injury in 2010.
