Comedy Central Censors South Park's Muhammad Episode

Tony Jingo
A New York Muslim group scared Comedy Central into censoring portions of South Park episode 201, the portions that were censored were those containing any hint to the Prophet Muhammad.

The NY based group Revolution Muslim was the subject of a CNN investigation last year for its radical rhetoric supporting jihad against the West and praising al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker depicted various religious leaders in episode 201; Muhammad was concealed inside of a bear costume. The satirical depiction highlighted the Muslim dictate not to display the Prophet Muhammad in any form.

True to form, certain members of 'the religion of peace' hinted to the subsequent killing of Matt Stone and Trey Parker over episode 201.

The posting on Revolutionmuslim.com says: "We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them."

Theo Van Gogh was brutally murdered by a Muslim man for offending Islam.

RevolutionMuslim.com also printed Stone and Parker's address on its website.

Zachary Adam Chesser, 20, of Centerville, Virginia is the person behind the South park threats. He is an American born convert to Islam and par for the course he is also anti-West. Chesser is also known by his Muslim name, Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee.

What should be obvious to even the casual observer is the cowardice and double standard by champions of 'free speech' found deeply rooted in the Hollywood and TV crowd. Those 'champions' have no problem with censorship when it is directed by Muslim fundamentalists. The selective silence regarding such matters speaks volumes.

South Park has produced episodes offending Buddhists, Christians, Jews, Mormons, Scientologists and more, sometimes all in the same episode. No murderous threats with predictions of Theo Van Gogh deaths have emanated from the offended groups, with the exception of radical elements within Islam, ironically dubbed the religion of peace.

The dangers of political correctness allow certain radical elements to thrive to a murderous pinnacle, such as the jihadist responsible for the Fort Hood massacre.

Political cowardice and appeasement creates an atmosphere where a murderous terrorist is able to motivate the US government to prosecute three Navy SEALs for doing their job and doing it well. Click here and here for more on the SEALs.

Granted, Comedy Central censoring the latest South Park episode is not that dramatic but the atmosphere that easily promotes such response is.

If the West continues to bury its head in the sand, regarding the religion of peace, we may soon find the same removed from its host.

We should never give in to threats. That's the dictionary definition of terrorism. And I love South Park. They are truly equal opportunity offenders, so I'm good with 'em.

I don't watch South Park, it's a bit out there for me, but I was livid when I heard this. Another example of the US kissing the muslim's asses AND giving in to their threats.

I was surprised when I learned this happened.

True, Sheryl.... but of course free speech protects certain Obama administration officials who tell "jokes" which characterize Jews as shrewd grifters who are only interested in money.... Just a short stop away from the blood libel told every day to children of the Arab world.

Ditto Baird. We're walking on such ridiculous eggshells with Islam. Funny - South Park didn't censor any of their "Hate a Jew" episode.

how come god and jesus are always mad fun of on tv shows and movies, buddha takes his fair share too, pretty much every religion has taken its comedic blows, except islam, why do they think their prophot is so special that he can't be made fun of? If you truley believe that he is the right way than you shouldn't be afraid of him taking a couple of untrue, or exagerated jokes.

Still can't believe this happened - good coverage here.
