The hotel room was clean and softly decorated. The carpet was commercial, heavy duty quality, but held a light, simple pattern. The wall featured a large mirror above the long dresser and a full length mirror further along. Above the bed hung a pretty but unmemorable painting. There were very thick dark red drapes that blocked out sound, sight and light.
The dresser was pretty and in excellent condition. There were several large drawers in good working order for clothes storage. Surprisingly, this was not the case in one hotel that I stayed at.
The hotel room held many amenities. There was a telephone, an iron and ironing board, hair dryer and a coffee maker. Set on the dresser was a television with included cable. The television itself was a little disappointing though because it was of a lower quality than I was used to.
There were small bars of wrapped bath soap and small bottles of shampoo in the bathroom. However, I heard that many hotels have since quit supplying hygienic amenities in order to save money. The bathroom had a white bathtub with a shower head. The entire bathroom looked clean and smelled fresh. There were towels and rags supplied, but only the bare amount needed which is an inconvenience for some people.
Both beds were covered with layers of sheets, blanket, and colored bedspreads. All pillows were only of medium thickness but were soft. Extra pillows and blankets were stored in one of the drawers. The mattress was slightly bumpy and somewhat uncomfortable compared to the mattress I had at home. Still, I was able to have a good night sleep.
