What should you not miss at Comic Con 2009 San Diego? Well, unfortunately, you will miss a lot. The con is huge and does not last very long, so chances are you will miss some. I always won't be there covering the convention for my UpcomingCons.com website this year, and can't bring you video of some of the things you might miss.
That said, here's a guide to some important things going on.
The Marvel Entertainment Panel is going on from 4:30 to 5:30 on Friday, July 24 at the San Diego Comic Con, and will probably be packed. It will feature information on a partnership Japanese studio Madhouse about it's creation of new anime versions of classic Marvel heroes.
Saturday a lot happens with IDW: Angel on the Rise from 10-11, an Eastwick Pilot Screening from 10:15-11:15, Dark Horse: We Love Comics Too from 11-12, Bram Stoker: The Joss Whedon of His Day from 1:30-2:30, The Simpsons from 1:45-2:30, Zombieland from 2:45-3:45, and a whole lot more will pack Comic Con in San Diego's convention center on Saturday.
Other Saturday activities and panels include 'We Control The Verticle', 'Top Cow', 'True Blood', 'Del Ray Manga/Comics', 'The Vampire Diaries', 'Fewdio's Door To Nightmare House', 'Troma Roast', a Masquerade Party, 'Give em Hell Malone', and still more yet.
There will also be a lot of Star Wars at the comic convention, including a behind-the-scenes peak of the marking of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 2, a Star Wars Stories Project panel, the chance to get 'Republic Heroes' the game, along with photo shoots and more.
There are also special events going as early as Wednesday night, starting with sneak peek comic con pilot screenings, and then panels and events going bigger on Thursday.
Also don't miss the various sighting of guests at Comic Con 2009 San Diego; there are dozens of them to meet, ranging from Seth Green to Adam West. You'll get several chances to meet them throughout the convention, so don't miss yours. You can find the full convention schedule online in many locations, with several big events overlapping.
Comic Con 2009 will feature all aspects of fandom, starting with comics and including anime, manga, animation, toys, collectible card games, videogames, webcomics, fantasy novels, and more. Many of the guests come from the various genres featured at comic con, not exclusively focused on comics.
