Greatest Hits (Vertigo) - This series is actually ending right now, but you should pick up the back issues while they are still on the shelves. It follows "The Mates" during the 1960's and the movie that is being made about them in present day. "The Mates" are essentially The Beatles, and each book uses song titles as a book title.
Fable (Vertigo) - Fable has been going on for several years now, but this year brings in the new story of the reconstruction of the mythical worlds. It is easy enough to pick up on what has passed if you start with maybe number 77.
Wolverine One-Hits (Marvel)- This month has brought in several One-Hit comics for the Wolverine character. These are books confined to a single book and story line. A few are out so just take your pick based on the cover art-you won't be missing out on anything.
Resistance (Wild Storm) - Based on the popular PS3 game, a new series 1 of 6 starts this month. If you play the games, then this will just further the fun story line, but if not, then no worries, because this alien invasion story is still fresh and fun.
Dead of Night Featuring WEREWOLF by Night (Marvel)- A new series about a werewolf. Yes, granted the premise is not very original, it is still an interesting tale, and an opportunity for the Marvel fans to start a series from the beginning.
Indiana Jones and the Tomb of Gods (Dark Horse) - This 6 part series will be ending at the end of the month, so back catalog now whilst your comic book guy still has them in stock. If you've enjoyed the Indiana Jones franchise, then this is a no brainer. It captures all the sarcastic Indy looks that we know and love. Plus, it has a typical yet exciting Dr. Jones story line.
