The tracks "Just When I Think I'm Over You" and "Wrong Along" depict real-life feelings about various relationships of Singer/Songwriter Katie Owen. The Guitar-driven ballad "Just When I Think I'm Over You" discusses hopes of a rekindled romance. The lyrics, "...I believe that you mean what you're sayin'/That we'll be together again one day/I believe that you mean what you say.../" provide evident thoughts of Owen's feelings as she reflects on a love lost. On the R&B song "Wrong Along", Owen sings of harsh realizations of a love gone awry. Owen sings of a faded love with the lyrics, "...I wish I'd listened to what I had been told before/Cos now my heart wouldn't be left out on the floor.../" The song is a reflection of Owen's difficult and troubled former relationships.
Owen switches moods on the up-beat track "Putcha Finger On The Record", while singing of losing control while listening to the DJ spin on the turntables. The lyrics,"...Keep that beat pushing firm all night/My heart beats like a base line/And the rhythm it fits just right/Play that tune the whole night through.../" describe the enjoyment of listening to positive vibes of the rhythmic beats portrayed throughout the song.
Since releasing her album in 2010, Owen has been busy promoting her work throughout various radio and news outlets, while performing live at various venues around the UK. Owen has been featured on LA Talk Radio, All Indie Magazine, and Hit The Floor Magazine. In 2011, Owen continues to promote Comin' On Strong while preparing for a Country-wide tour.
