Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight Review

Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight is not a good game, and EA should be ashamed of themselves what they did to Westwood's classic series! The game is nothing like the Westwood games and if anything is a step back. I don't want to see my tanks shooting laser beams with weird units that I don't know how to use and a weird user interface to top it. It is almost impossible to move around in this game or figure out what is going on, and the missions are horrible.

I wish that EA never bought this game from Westwood, because they really screwed it up. The old Westwood games were classic, they had weapons that were familiar, like tanks and infantry men, they actually showed blood in their games. I don't even think this new game even shows blood at all. There was sounds of bullets, not lasers, and even the music was better. The orchestras on EA really just plain suck and give me a headache after listening to them. The music on the old Westwood games like Tiberian Dawn, made it to my iPod. Anybody remember "I'm a mechanical, I'm a mechanical, I'm a mechanical man!." That song was the best!

Playing online on Command and Conquer 4 is dull and Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 is probably the best Command and Conquer in the whole series for playing online. Tiberian Twilight is just plain out horrible for online game play. Instead of being about who has the most units to throw at the other base, its about co-op missions and stuff, can you say boring? The old Command and Conquers from Westwood were about just making as many units as you can and defending your base so you could make those units to kill the enemy. It was a simple and fun game, but EA had to come along and complicate it and make it fancy not make it fun anymore. I just want to build my base and throw all my troops at the enemy's base and watch my little guys destroy him! I don't want to go on some lousy mission protecting a sniper or something.

In conclusion, Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight is by far the worst game in the series and EA really fudged up big time with this game and really the whole series. They are just living off the old Westwood titles now, making poor games and raking in the money off prior titles. Typical of a big corporation.
