Commentary: The Face of America

For more than two centuries, America has been known as a nation that prides herself on individualism, capitalism, patriotism, freedom of religion, etc. Throughout this century those ideals which many Americans hold dear to their hearts has slowly evolved into something far different, foreign to the intents and dreams of the Founding Fathers. Since the beginning of the Obama Presidency and the oversight of his administration, the new face of America is becoming clearer each day. The "hope and change" that was touted during presidential campaign was not fulfilled as promised and turned into the exact opposite.

As America nears another Presidential election, it should be quite clear to each of us who continue to believe strongly in these ideals that we ought to do something in order to ensure these freedoms continue to exist, especially for our children, our grand-children, and the many generations that follow. We cannot and must not sit idle while the current President and his administration wreak havoc upon this country and lead it in a direction toward full-blown communism and socialism. If we fail to stand up for America, our failure to elect the right leaders will give Obama and his administration the authority to continue in the same direction. Furthermore, we will not have another chance until the next elections for the Senate and House of Representatives leaders for a couple of years, and another four years for to elect another President to undo the many illegal actions that have been done. America and our children depend on us to the right thing.

While it is not my intention to say who we ought to elect as the next President of the United States, I do want to encourage us to take the time to carefully research every issue, everything said by each candidate, and weigh our decision carefully. My question to you, dear reader, is this: Do you want to live in a country in which these ideals make this country be successful, or do you want to continue on the same path that will lead to a different America in which very strict governmental control of everything in our lives, businesses, schools, the public square, and churches will be commonplace with severe penalties and punishments for those who choose to follow the original intent and dreams of the founding fathers?
