Common Causes of Hair Loss and Baldness

Roger C.
There are many people who are worried about their hair loss; they immediately start looking for remedies, miracle cures and any kind of promise they can find. The problem with this is that there are many possible causes for this problem and you can't target your efforts effectively if you don't know the exact underlying cause of the problem. This leads to the waste of your most useable resources: time and money.

By knowing what causes your hair loss, or thinning hair, you can choose the more effective way to fight it and make a noticeable difference. Perhaps you have already tried some products before with little or no effect at all. You may have even noticed a slight growth at the beginning and became very excited, but then the growth stopped along with your hopes. The truth is this is not unusual with most hair growth products.

Now let's begin to discuss why people lose their hair. There's no one-and-only cause for hail loss, actually, there are plenty, and people lose their hair for different reasons. The most common cause and the most difficult to deal with is genetics, but this isn't a definitive sentence for hair loss, it is one more factor that speeds up the process among other things that influence hair loss.

One factor you should consider before buying remedies is your diet. A poor diet brings health problems including hair loss; you must always eat a healthy portion of fruits, vegetables, meat and cereals and try to add some supplements to make sure you have all your vitamins and minerals.

Another cause of hair loss may be excessive stress, or any other factor that might constrict proper blood flow to your scalp. If your scalp doesn't receive enough blood, the roots of your hair begin to die and you start losing it. Do whatever you need to prevent this; meditate, do some exercise, or go out with friends to relax.

Some medicines may also contribute to baldness. There are side effects to some medicines, so you need to consult with your doctor and he will tell you if the medication you are taken may be a factor in your hair loss. Hormonal imbalances are another reason to lose hair. Women taking hormones or with hormonal problems can lose more hair than women without these characteristics, but this can be easily treatable; just talk to your doctor about it.

Genetics, hormonal imbalance, a poor diet, blood flow constriction to the scalp, medication, stress and damaging hair products are just some of the factors that may contribute to your hair loss problems. By knowing what's causing the problem you'll have a better idea of how to fight it so you should learn the cause to attack the issue before trying anything.
