Common Drugs and Their Dangers

Allie Bojko
Well that's a great question because there's just so many of them, as well already know all drugs affect your mind and/or your behavior, both can be from either legal or illegal drugs. Those that are considered legal drugs, are prescription drugs offered to you by your pharmacist or found on the shelves of over the counter products. Alcohol as well is considered a drug although we might not see it that way but it is except it's a legal beverage that we can consume but only to those that meet the legal drinking age. Drugs that are considered illegal are when personnel manufacture, mass produce, buy for sale, or have access to such drugs is deemed to be against the law or is violating it by not abiding to them. These drugs may typically involve PCP, marijuana, cocaine, and heroin.

Prescription drugs are the legal drugs you can purchase if you have the consent to do so their also deemed to be safe, they are very effective for whatever it is you need it for and are only legal if your licensed doctor gives you the direction. If you use prescription drugs for the wrong reasons you can physically become dependent on them, for example Valium and Morphine can have those effects on you if your not careful when using such drugs. The sad thing is that so many people year in and year out end up overdosing on prescription drugs as in a way to end their life or committing their final faith in life by committing such a heinous act. It's a common method amongst younger and older individuals, it's even been popular amongst famous people whether it be in the royalty line or the common celebrity.

Illegal drugs are drugs individuals see illegally to other personnel for profit while violating the government's laws. Many illegal drugs can physically and emotionally drain those personnel who use such drugs because of the damage they do directly. Illegal drugs can bring many severe consequences in terms of criminal activity just because of the high they want to get from such drugs that they commit any offense just to get the quick fix. The individuals that use such drugs eventually get into severe financial situations just because of all the money they end up spending on them. Many of these so called drugs are made inside of the United States.

To sum this article up no matter what drug you consider to use they will all kill you eventually. Drugs end up ruining many people's lives because of the addiction they have developed from them or because they have become dependent on them. They will ruin your ability to think as well as your ability to make the right judgments under circumstances which will give you no reason to be worth living if you consider to do that to yourself and that's just my opinion. It will make you brain dead in the end anyway, it will put you in dangerous positions in which you'll commit a violent act just to act that high you so desperately want, it'll even put you into financial problems as well. My opinion if I were doing drugs I'd try to stop as soon as possible especially if I knew it would ruin my life and make the necessary change and stop altogether. I would also check myself into a drug therapy group in order to help me kick the habit but that's just me everyone else is different.

  • What kind of drugs are out there?
  • what effects do drugs have on people?
  • what consequences can drugs have on people?
If you don't admit you have a drug addiction you'll only get worse the more times you continue to do them. The first fight is to kick your addiction, check yourself into a drug rehab program in order to fight your addiction and staying clean.

good write up, my step son was highly addicted to Oxy's and took him a long time to get clean,,,he's still struggling with staying "sober" and I've now realized that once an addictive personality, always an addictive personality, sometimes they just change their drug of choice, whether its gambling, shopping, drugs or alcohol... we have to be supportive to help them overcome their addictive personalities before they can truly be "healed"...thanks for this...
