She says he has bad hair. He says she's fat. Yes. Thank you someone for bringing that to my attention. I never knew that! Thank you Captain Obvious. Really, isn't this something that common sense slaps you in the face with upon first viewing?
This juvenile mudslinging is the kind of thing that progressively makes America stupider. Trump, one of America's most financially successful citizens, has lowered himself to the mental capacity of a junior high girl. Rosie, well, Rosie is still Rosie--on a big stage. She made, what I consider to be, a justifiable criticism of Trump being a "moral compass for 20 year old America." Rosie's show, The View, has many viewers, but how many people wouldn't have ever heard of this controversy without Trump's vicious return of insults?
Am I defending Rosie? Hardly. I think she's annoying and obnoxious, much like Trump. So, I choose not to watch her. I do the same for Trump--who I also feel is annoying and obnoxious. Rosie made vocal her opinion of Trump allowing the delinquent beauty queen to retain her crown after being caught for underage drinking. Trump shot back with low blows about Rosie's lifestyle and character. What a pompous, arrogant, loud mouth. And Rosie just knows how to perpetuate the problem. It doesn't matter to her what she's saying or what's being said...just as long as her lips are moving and she can hear her shrieking voice.
Free publicity is often a dirty, dirty sight to see. Trump is absolutely aware of this fact. I'm not so sure about Rosie. Both celebrities are intelligent people. What I fear is that they greatly overestimate America's desire to give a rat's patoot about anything that they have to say. Neither one of them is even too easy on the eyes. The sum of hard to look at and obnoxious to listen to equals no thank you in my book.
My opinion? Rosie: Shut-up. Go back to your koosh-balls. Trump: Shut-up. Go fire more people and enjoy yourself. Leave rational-thinking America alone. We need to get smarter as a population and start focusing on matters that mean something. Rosie's fat and Donald's hair, while both hard to look at, are an insult to my intelligence and a drain on my cable bill.
