Flat Tire Repair and Replacement
One of the most popular services offered by emergency roadside assistance programs is flat tire repair and replacement. When you get a flat tire all you have to do is pull off the road, call your service provider and they will come to help you out. When the technician arrives they will assess the damage and either change your tire to the spare you carry or bring you a new tire.
Out of Gas Assistance
Another popular service offered by emergency roadside assistance programs is out of gas assistance. When you run out of gas all you have to do is call your service provider and they will bring gas to you. This is a valuable service for those individuals that either travel in rural areas where gas stations are few and far between, or that do not feel safe walking to a gas station when they accidentally run out.
Locked Out Services
Locking your keys in your car is very embarrassing, but it can also be very expensive if you have to call a locksmith for assistance. Emergency roadside assistance programs will cover sending a locksmith out to you to open your door and to get you back on the road. This is a must have service if you have young children who can quickly and easily lock you out of the car and then not know how to unlock the door so you can access them.
Breakdown Assistance
If the problem with your vehicle is more serious than a flat tire or a lack of gasoline, then you will need breakdown assistance. This assistance can include coverage for services such as towing, winching, mechanical adjustments and ambulance assistance. These services vary by service provider and are usually attached to more comprehensive plans.
Stolen Vehicle Services
If your vehicle is stolen while you are on vacation then some roadside emergency assistance programs will come to your rescue. They will work with the police to find your missing vehicle, they will help you to get a new rental and they will provide you with coverage for vacation interruption costs like unexpected hotel stays. This service is not offered with all programs, but it is a good option to select if you travel a lot.
