Pregnancy is perhaps the most wonderful thing in this world. Nobody just popped out and existed by himself. Everyone was conceived and nourished in the mother's womb. Despite any reason of pregnancy, unwanted or not, it is indeed a blessing that an individual is given the chance to bear a life in her body.

But how can you really know if you already have an angel inside your womb? Actually, the first thing to know if you are pregnant is to know the signs of pregnancy. There are some instances where a woman thinks she is pregnant but more often, she is not.

The following are just some of the tips you would want to learn.

  • Amenorrhea

Missed period, also known as amenorrhea is the most common sign of pregnancy. Women often conclude that they are pregnant once they missed a period. However, anxiety and shock may also cause a missed period, so you should have a careful hint about it.

  • Food Cravings

Even before you miss your period, you could experience a drastic change in your taste preference. It is normal to go for some food but be choosy to the food that will enhance your health. Otherwise, it may cause you harm if you switch to taking non - nutritional value foods.

  • Frequent Urination

You tend to experience frequent expulsion of small amounts of urine. This is because during pregnancy, the uterus begins to swell pressing the bladder downward making you feel like urinating.

  • Morning Sickness

Nausea is a feeling of impulsive and involuntary vomiting, and sickness of the stomach that is usually happening in the morning. This is the reason why it is called morning sickness. But the truth is it doesn't only occur in the morning. This restless feeling can be felt any time of the day. The main cause of nausea is the increased levels of hormone circulating in the blood and causing an irritant effect on the lining of the stomach.

  • Restlessness with a tiresome feeling and dizziness

You may always feel sleepy and tired, right? Perhaps, the increased levels of hormone in the blood give a tranquilizing power that causes one to fall asleep. Progesterone is believed to have a hypnotic effect and is always tugged along with pregnancy.

  • Increase in Vaginal discharge

You need to wear extra thin panty shields because you might have an increased vaginal discharge. The discharge is often thin, odorless and white. If the color of your discharge is different and it has a foul odor, better consult your ob - gynecologist for this matter.

  • Tender Breasts

Due to the stimulation of the progesterone hormone, your breasts will enlarge and your nipples will feel sore and sensitive. Thus, they become bigger, tender and a little darker in color. Some veins running through may become visible because of the swelling.

These are just some of the signs that a pregnant woman usually experience. It is still best to consult your specialist to ask for these changes happening in you.
