Custom
Instead of purchasing generic memo pads from your local office supply store, you can search the Internet for customized memo pads. These are usually available in colors you wouldn't be able to find otherwise, and some can be customized to include your name, address, phone number, or other information.
Magnets
Attach a magnet to the back of your memo pad and you'll be able to hang it right on your refrigerator door. This is ideal for grocery lists as you can write down foodstuffs you need as soon as you run out. Thin, flexible magnet strips can be purchased at most craft or hardware stores and are handy for a variety of other uses as well.
Colors
Use colors to organize your memo pads. For example, one color can be used to keep track of important dates or meetings, another color for grocery lists, and another color for personal notes. With so many different colored memo pads available you can really let your imagination run wild with this idea.
Household
Keep a different memo pad in every single room of the house. Use one in the kitchen to maintain grocery lists, chore lists, or weekly dinner menus, use one in the living room to keep reminders of your favorite television shows, and use one in the bathroom to keep track of any daily medications you may be taking. Finally, place a memo pad within reach of every phone in the house. This allows you to quickly write down names and phone numbers without having to dig for a pencil and paper.
Memo pads can be used to keep track of which household chores need to be done and which ones have already been finished. Take a moment to place a note in each room that needs to be cleaned, throwing the note away as you clean that particular room. This way you can make sure you finish all of your chores in a timely and efficient manner.
