Community Colleges in and Around Metro Atlanta

If your looking to go to a local community college in the Metro Atlanta area you are in luck as there are plenty to pick from with varying programs for all the different disciplines.

To start with lets view one with a creative liberal arts type education relevant to today's job markets. The Art Institute of Atlanta is a part of the art institute system with over 40 locations nationwide. It offers AA and BS degree programs in the Culinary Arts, Fashion, Media Arts, and Design Arts. Located conveniently in Dunwoody it's a pleasure to get to and a nice clean campus atmosphere.

Next lets view a Georgia state program that offers undergrad type courses designed to prepare you for entering a four-year degree program. Georgia Perimeter College's main campus is in Decatur, Ga. with 6 other campuses in and around Atlanta, makes it one of the most appealing community college's in Atlanta.

With a corporate type campus in Dunwoody Inter-Continental University offers programs in Business, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Fashion Design and Game Design and Development. It has a convenient location off Ga. 400 and is a nice clean atmosphere for the studious pursuit of excellence.

A real different technology type school located in Alpharetta Georgia a northern bedroom community in the Metro area is DeVry University offering both AA and Masters programs.

The Masters of Education Technology is offered online and is the only one of its kind in Metro Atlanta. The AA programs include Accounting, Electroneurodiagnostics, Electronics and Computer Technology, Health Information Technology, Network Administration, Web Graphics Design.

All programs have the future needs of the North Metro area in mind. Fits well if you like these disciplines because of the open job opportunity in the community. This is also a very nice campus offering a great place to learn and network with fellow students.

Lots of other choices of community colleges in Metro Atlanta. An added benefit is financial aid is a cinch. Georgia residents get Hope Scholarship automatically and can maintain it with a 3.0 GPA. If the school is private there is also the Georgia Private School Equalization Grant available along with 100's of scholarship opportunities and almost all the community colleges offer loan programs. If you work in the local area a lot of our employers offer financial assistance to employees that are using their own time to further their education in their job field.

Lots of ways to get education and become successful in the Metro Atlanta area its just up to the individual to take advantage of all the community has to offer.
