Piece College offers majors in almost 100 different things. It is part of the Los Angeles Community College District and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The campus is on 426 acres and features a botanical garden, an equestrian center and a farmer's market, among other things. Pierce College is partnered with the California State University system as well as a few private universities. Pierce College is one of the most affordable community colleges in the nation. California residents only have to pay $20 per unit and non-residents pay $173 per unit. Financial aid is awarded to needy students as well as scholarships.

Not too far from Pierce College you can find Columbia College Hollywood. This community college focuses on film, television and liberal arts. A two-year associate's degree is all that is offered in film and television production. Tuition depends on the number of credits taken. The maximum per unit is $475 per unit if you take 4 units and the minimum is $319 per unit if you take 15 units. The school is fully accredited and offers standard financial aid packages but does not offer scholarships. Columbia College Hollywood is located at 18618 Oxnard St, Tarzana, CA. Columbia College Hollywood is not partnered with any other universities.

And if you want to travel a bit west you will find Oxnard College. This community college is located at 4000 South Rose Ave. Oxnard, CA 93033. Oxnard College is fully accredited and offers Associate of Arts and Associate of Sciences Degrees over 60 different areas of study. California residents only have to pay $20 per unit and non-residents pay $173 per unit. Financial aid is awarded to needy students as well as scholarships. Oxnard College has partnered with the following California State Universities: CSUCI, CSUN, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz.
