The landscaping is exquisite and it's an ideal location for weddings, walking and just learning about nature. Regular admission is $9.50 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, $6 for children between the ages of 3 and 12. Children under 3 are admitted free. The idea for the Arboretum was born in the 1930s and in 1974 the Arboretum adopted the by-laws it celebrates today. A family membership allows free visits and discounts at the gift shop, dining locations and educational classes including summer camps for the kids. Whether you visit frequently or just once per year, all Dallasites should make a trek to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
